November 12, 2011: Two Years in the Making.

It's been two years since the accident and I'm finally back in the game. Although it isn't a trophy buck it's still a trophy to me. A nice mature doe at 25 yards with a crossbow isn't bad. It's been a lot of work to get this far, and I still have a long ways to go. Much thanks to those who made this possible (mainly: Steve Beck, Larry Moss, and Shyrick Raber but also many others). I thank everyone for the words of encouragement that have gotten me this far.

Thanks, AWB. (I will post again within a few days, I'm tired and need to catch up on some rest.)

  1. Sweeeet! I'm so glad hunting has become possible and I hope this season gets better and better. I know how much you love the outdoors and the hunt, and even on a dull day it beats being stuck inside I bet! Looks like the fish is finally back in the pond :) Love, Bekah

  2. Bill,
David told me about the doe that you shot with your crossbow. What a thrill this must be for you. It's been a long time coming.
    Congratulations.

  4. Congratulations Bill!!!

I am so excited for you. Looks like it was a good hunting season for both of us. (i got my first elk, a 2yr old bull, in the Snowy Range in mid-October). Keep up the good work!
